A Taste of the Fourth Championship

logo  Less than a week has passed since the last start - and the crew is back on the recce! This time Dmitry and Anna – are in the participants' list of the II-nd Round of Latvian Rally Championship - BTA Rally Talsi! Again there are for the first time in this country on the gravel event - before there was only the experience of snow sprint. And LRC is the fourth series in this year, which the crew decided to get acquainted with. 

 

Gravel "debut" turned to be successful!

tallinn2-150  Dmitry Tagirov and Anna Zavershinskaya were the best of the 11 Russian crews, who participated in the IInd Estonian Rally Championship Round, "Rally Tallinn" which is popular among the racers from different countries. Dmitry and Anna managed to enter the top ten in the general classification of their first ever gravel event in Baltic states, having completed the rally 9th overall.

 

   

Estonia calls again

11tall_plate The crew of Dmitri Tagirov and Anna Zavershinskaya appeared literally at the last moment in the participants' list of the first gravel Baltic Rally in 2011 - Honda Rally Tallinn. In fact, the decision to start at this prestigious race with a long and beautiful history was made on the eve of May Day, but the application was under validation. By now (the deadline was extended prior to the evening of May 2) 86 crews representing 7 countries confirmed their wish to start in the Estonian capital. More than a dozen of Russian pilots are among them

   

For want of a nail the shoe was lost…

2011 Rally Sweden PWRC#33 D.Tagirov-A.Zavershinskaya (RUS)This classic poem's phrase could be easily transferred to what had happened with the crew of Dmitry and Anna today's afternoon. But the strangest thing is that too many sudden situations at that rally are connected for Dmitry with... the photographers! On the shakedown, as we remember – the stage was stopped after he was one of those who reported about the photographers in the unsafe positions. Today almost the same situation was "the want of a nail" that lead to a very picturesque escape for Russian crew at the famous Colin's Crest. But that was not the only adventure of this evening...
